A structured path from operations to decisions
Business activity analysis works best when it is consistent, measurable, and grounded in how teams actually operate. Our method combines process mapping, data collection, activity modelling, and bottleneck diagnostics. We then translate findings into KPI definitions and dashboard modules that support weekly and monthly decision routines.
Five steps that keep analysis usable
Each step is designed to reduce ambiguity and make results easy to maintain after handover.
-
1) Scope and decision questions
We agree on what decisions the analysis must support. This prevents collecting data that looks impressive but does not change outcomes. We also define time horizon, stakeholders, and any compliance requirements.
-
2) Activity model and process map
We map activities and define boundaries, including upstream and downstream dependencies. The model includes roles, systems, handoffs, and exception paths so improvement ideas are grounded in reality.
-
3) Data collection and quality checks
We identify data sources, define minimal viable capture, and run completeness checks. When data is partial, we use transparent sampling and document assumptions to keep conclusions defensible.
-
4) Bottlenecks and resource demand
We quantify where work slows down and why. This includes analyzing WIP, handoff delays, skill constraints, and tool limitations. Recommendations are tested against capacity and change risk.
-
5) KPI definitions and dashboard modules
We convert findings into a small set of measures that can be reviewed weekly. Dashboard modules focus on throughput, cycle time, stability, and capacity fit, with definitions written for consistent reporting.
From method to dashboards
Dashboards are most effective when they are anchored to a consistent activity model. If you want access to detailed analytics dashboard views and modules, registration provides secure access. After you register, you can request the set of modules that best fits your workflow and reporting cadence.
You can also contact us to discuss a full engagement, including process mapping workshops and a measurement dictionary tailored to your organization.
